Eddie and Carol Mills sponsored a wagon ride for the members of the Southern Indiana Draft Horse and Mule Association starting on Thursday August 15,2024. They held the event at the Southern Indiana Horseman's Club just a few miles north of Tell City, Indiana. The club had always called the August ride the "Birthday Ride" due to all of the members who had birthdays during that month. The plan was to ride the back roads of Perry County on Friday and Saturday so everyone could go home on Sunday to get ready for the upcoming work week. There were 7 wagons that rode on Friday and 6 wagons on Saturday. All of the wagons were drawn by teams of mules. The weather wasn't bad with temperatures in the upper 80's during the day and in the upper 60's at night. As usual with this group, there was enough good food, adult beverages and camaraderie to make it a great weekend. Thanks Eddie and Carol.
