2018 Roush-Bogart Corn Shredding

Tim Roush and his son-in-law Travis Bogart held their annual corn shredding event at the Bogart farm near Sardinia Ohio on Black Friday, November 23, 2018. This is an annual event that allows them to play with their toys and spend some quality social time with a lot of their friends and family. Travis breaks out some of his antique equipment and Tim brings over his Percheron draft horses to transport the corn, both under the pretense that it is important that the one acre of corn which was specifically grown just for this event is needed for winter feed and thus must be shredded and shelled. This year, the weather cooperated with early sunshine and temperatures that reached the mid 50's by lunch time. As usual, there was a big feed with hot chili, potato soup, hot dogs, pies and cookies, etc. The skies got cloudy after lunch, but there was no rain and spirits were high all day. I think that everyone who attended went away with a smile on their face and a full tummy! Click below to see the photos I took to remember the day.
