John and Connie Mink hosted an improptu weekend wagon ride for members of the
Kentucky Trail Blazers wagon club at their farm in Mercer County about 20 miles west of Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Like many
weekends lately, the weather was beautiful with overnight temperatures reminiscent of early Fall. On Saturday morning, we had
7 wagons when we left the farm and were joined for part of the day by an 8th wagon when we got down the road. After a fun day
of talking, eating and riding about 17 miles, we returned to the Mink's farm in the late afternoon for a great pot luck dinner.
On Sunday morning, several of the members had to get home, plus one team was not 100% so there were only 2 wagons when we headed
out to ride. Although the route we followed on Sunday was shorter than on Saturday, we all agreed that the Sunday ride was even
more enjoyable than Saturday.
