The annual Mule Day celebrations for this year was held in Columbia, Tennessee in early April. Just like last year, I joined a private horse/mule drawn wagon train which spent one week driving 130 miles over to the Columbia Mule Day celebrations from Decaturville, Tennessee. (The photos from that wagon train are posted on this website.) The wagon train arrived in Columbia mid-day Thursday and I spent Thursday afternoon and much of Friday and Saturday viewing the various mule related activities at the park. I took photos of those events that interested me or included people I knew. I concentrated on just a few events and didn't try to get photos of everything that was occurring. In addition, I was able to capture a few photos of some of the members of our wagon train as they watched and, in some cases, participated in the various events. On Saturday morning, I returned to the same spot downtown as last year to watch the annual Mule Day Parade. It was right at the starting point for the parade. I attempted to capture a photo of each of the equine units that were participating in the parade, along with some of the more interesting non-equine parade units. I hope that you enjoy viewing the photos that I've have posted here.
