The 4th annual US Horse Plowing Contest was held over the Labor Day weekend at Carriage Hill MetroPark. This facility is located in Huber Heights, just north of Dayton, Ohio and is part of the Five Rivers MetroParks of Dayton-Montgomery County. Carriage Hill Farm is a recreation of a working 1880's farm with historic buildings, animals, and many acres of natural beauty. On this weekend, there were state champions from states like Michigan, Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, and from as far away as Connecticut. In addition, there were visitors from other states who came to learn more about the program with the intention of taking home enough information to set up a state contest whose winners would be eligible to participate in future competitions.

Here is a group photo of some of the winners and runners-up from this year's contest.
