Edith Conyers sponsored a Spring ride over the weekend of May 17-18, 2008 at her Maryster Farm near Mt Sterling, Kentucky, about a half hour east of Lexington, Kentucky, the horse capital of the world. The weather was windy and quite chilly for this time of year. There were some showers in the area leading up to the weekend and it also rained Saturday night and early on Sunday. However, on both Saturday and Sunday, the skys cleared up and the weather was great for a ride. Plenty of horses were on hand on Saturday with everything from drafts to minatures. There were several wagons and plenty of outriders. We covered about 25 miles of the back roads in both Montgomery and Clark counties over the weekend. We hope you enjoy the photos from this event.
